Pürminerals Cameo Contour Foundation & Epic Illusion Palette Review

Party season may be over but I will still break out the shimmer, vibrant hues and maybe a little glitter when the mood strikes. This Friday I am going to see The Phantom of The Opera (for the second time) and whether I need makeup for a fun night out or everyday wear Pürminerals has a great selection to help me look my best!

Sculpting and highlighting has been all the rage and the new Cameo Contour Dual Ended Foundation is just what you need to achieve that chiseled face contour...even if you did overdo it on the appetizers and eggnog over the holidays.

Shade featured: Tan

On one end you have the contour shade that should be darker than your skin tone to create shadow and contrast in the hollows of your face.

On the other end there is a highlight shade which should be lighter than your skin tone and applied to the high points of the face for luminous dimension and glow.

The best thing about this stick aside from the easy to use packaging is the creamy formula! Sometimes when I use powder contours they are difficult to blend because they settle on the surface of skin and accentuate texture. With this cream you can apply the color directly from the tube and use the handy sponge (included in the kit) to fade the line beautifully for a seamless streak-free finish that shapes without being too obvious.

Once blended the creamy texture transforms into a silky, lightweight powder so it doesn’t feel wet or heavy. Both pigments also have a wonderful velvety texture and even if you aren’t a contouring master you can easily transform from dull to diva in a few easy swipes. The sponge is decent for blending but I find it a tad hard so I prefer to use the Pürminerals chisel brush. The Cameo Contour retails for $39.50.

After you are sculpted you may want to do a bit more enhancing with the Epic Illusion Palette for the eyes, cheekbones and jawline. You can use these hues to highlight, deepen your contour, accentuate and add color to the face with the pretty pink blushes.

To set your face, correct color and lightly conceal the 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup with SPF 15 provides sheer coverage for a flawless matte finish. The formula is designed to help diminish your skincare concerns for a healthier looking complexion without the use of gluten or parabens. Although this is classified as “foundation” it is more as a finishing powder because it does not provide full-coverage. It has a smooth, lightweight texture and comes in 10 shades from light to dark. The hue I have is medium dark and the compact retails for $28.00.

The contour stick, Epic Illusion palette and Pressed Mineral Powder are everything you need to create the perfect profile and be ready for your close-ups, so let’s move on to the eyes!

The gorgeous Eye Polish is available in 6 trendy shades and they are absolutely mesmerizing! The color I have called Velvet is a bronze/wine/plum hue that is eye catching, glam and perfect for the season. The pigment applies wet and blends into a dry shadow with beautiful multidimensional shimmer and buildable coverage. It comes with a unique tapered gel applicator to swipe the color onto the lids. The polish is also a base and top coat all-in-one and lasts all day without budging, smudging or fading.

If you prefer more versatility the Soul Mattes and Secret Crush eye shadow palettes are ideal for creating a variety of stunning effects. I often takes these two on vacation with me as the colors transition from day to night with the perfect array of matte and shimmer options.

All you need to do now is sculpt your brows with the Wake Up Brow Dual Ended Pencil and line the eyes with the Double Ego Eyeliner which has both a pencil and liquid tip! I actually start out with a pencil liner to make sure I have a straight base line and then I go over the pencil with a liquid formula. This helps make my eyeliner look neat and last all day!

After your eyes and face are on-point finish up with a lush lip color. My favorites are the Pürminerals Lip Lure Lacquers or one of their bright lipsticks for a fun pop of color.
